123 ABCs Easy Does It

Exercise, or movement, has several benefits for those with diabeties; including management of blood glucose levels, building muscles, helping your body effectively use insulin, decreasing blood pressure, increasing good cholestrol while lowering bad cholesterol, and lowering diabetic complications such as heart disease, kidney failure, and stroke - to name a few.  Naturally, exercise helps one to maintain their weight, but it also assists in keeping your heart, joints, and bones healthy.  We also encourage diabetics to exercise, under their doctor's supervision, to reduce stress and anxiety, while elevating energy levels and creating more positive attitudes.  Take a look at the various forms of exercise available to see what resonates with you.
